The proportion of beverage companies hiring for ‘internet of things’-related positions increased last month, according to recently-released figures.

A total of 22.6% of the companies included in GlobalData’s analysis were recruiting for at least one position in the area in February. The figure represents a lift on the 19.4% hiring for Internet of Things-related jobs a year earlier. In January, the rate was also lower, at 20.6%.

Of all advertised vacancies in the global beverage industry in February, 0.2% were linked to IoT, a slight fall on the 0.3% proportion in the same month of 2021.

GlobalData's analysis shows that beverage companies are hiring for internet of things jobs at a lower rate than the average for all companies in the data provider's job analytics database last month, which stood at 1.1%.
