A recently filed patent (Publication Number: US20230308572A1) describes a printer with a unique connector cover design. The printer includes a board with a connector unit that has a power supply connector for a removable power cable. The housing of the printer contains a cable connection groove through which the power cable is inserted. The connector cover, which is part of the housing, is designed to cover the cable connection groove.

The connector cover consists of a cover main body with a power supply opening and a first interface opening. It also includes a first opening cover portion that covers part of the first interface opening. The first opening cover portion is equipped with a first coupling portion that connects it to the cover main body.

In addition to the power supply connector, the connector unit of the printer also includes an interface connector for a removable interface cable. The cover main body of the connector cover has a second interface opening to accommodate the interface connector.

During the manufacturing process, a second opening cover portion, which covers the second interface opening, is removed from the connector cover. This exposes the interface connector when viewed from the inserting and removing direction.

The connector unit is positioned on one side of the board, close to the cover main body, and along that side. This arrangement allows for efficient cable management and organization.

The power supply connector is exposed through the power supply opening of the connector cover when viewed from the inserting and removing direction. This makes it easy to connect and disconnect the power cable.

The connector cover can have multiple first interface opening portions and corresponding first opening cover portions. These additional openings and covers provide flexibility for different types of interface cables.

The first opening cover portion includes a thin portion that is thinner than other parts of the first coupling portion. This thin portion can split from the rest of the first coupling portion when an external force is applied to the first opening cover portion.

There is no cover provided for the power supply opening portion, allowing for easy access to the power supply connector.

The first opening cover portion includes a stopper that engages with an edge portion of the board when an external force is applied to the first opening cover portion in the inserting and removing direction.

The first opening cover portion can have multiple first coupling portions, providing additional strength and stability.

Overall, this patent describes a printer with a unique connector cover design that allows for efficient cable management and easy access to connectors.
