Notably, Transportation and Material Moving Occupations jobs accounted for a 29% share of the global consumer industry’s health & wellness-related total new job postings in Q3 2023, up 46% over the prior quarter.
Transportation and Material Moving Occupations drive health & wellness-related hiring activity
Transportation and Material Moving Occupations, with a share of 29%, emerged as the top health & wellness-related job roles within the consumer industry in Q3 2023, with new job postings rising by 46% quarter-on-quarter. Management Occupations came in second with a share of 10% in Q3 2023, with new job postings dropping by 4% over the previous quarter.
The other prominent health & wellness roles include Production Occupations with a 6% share in Q3 2023, Office and Administrative Support Occupations with a 6% share of new job postings.
Top five companies in consumer industry accounted for 70% of hiring activity
The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2023 were Performance Food Group, Blink, Peloton Interactive, Kellogg, and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Together they accounted for a combined share of 70% of all health & wellness-related new jobs in the consumer industry.
Performance Food Group posted 4,616 health & wellness-related new jobs in Q3 2023, Blink 455 jobs, Peloton Interactive 401 jobs, Kellogg 388 jobs, and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton 268 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
Hiring activity was driven by the US with an 83.64% share of total new job postings, Q3 2023
The largest share of health & wellness-related new job postings in the consumer industry in Q3 2023 was in the US with 83.64% followed by Germany (3.21%) and Australia (2.28%). The share represented by the US was five percentage points higher than the 78.70% share it accounted for in Q2 2023.
