- In April, Carlsberg said it was spending GBP7m (US$10.4m) on promoting its Somersby cider brand in the UK, including launching a new TV ad
- The same month saw Soren Lauridsen, Carlsberg's former CEO of South Asia, join Diageo as its Africa president
- Also in April, the Danish brewer said it was to take full ownership of Chinese brewer Wusu Beer Group as it continues to up its presence in the country
- At the end of the month, Carlsberg announced a second joint brewery with Brooklyn Brewery, this time in Trondheim, Norway
- In May, Carlsberg-owned Brasseries Kronenbourg announced three new product launches in its domestic market for this Spring, including a red fruit flavour of its 1664 brand
- In June, Molson Coors said it was to take over distribution of Staropramen in the UK after it agreed to cut short an agreement with distributor Carlsberg
- Also in June, Carlsberg launched an alcohol-free version of its namesake beer into the UK on- and off-trade.
