According to a joint statement, the initial launch features a barista milk in cafés, restaurants and hotels and will be followed next month by everyday drinking milk and a vanilla-flavoured version in retail.
Remilk has developed the milk protein over the past five years having received more than $150m in investment. The company claims it is identical to that found in cow’s milk and is produced “without using a single animal cell”.
Amir Aharon, Gad Dairies’ CEO, said: “Our collaboration with Remilk represents a global breakthrough for Gad – milk born from advanced science and technology, yet rooted in decades of culinary tradition. The New Milk proves that it’s possible to combine premium quality, sustainability, and industrial innovation without sacrificing taste.
“This is a defining moment for the dairy category. For us, The New Milk is more than a product – it’s a historic milestone where generations of dairy tradition meet groundbreaking technology.”

By GlobalDataRemilk’s protein has regulatory clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration and Israel’s Ministry of Health, as well as from authorities in Canada and Singapore, according to the statement.
Aviv Wolff, co-founder and CEO of Remilk, added: “Our partnership with Gad Dairies, a brand with an unmatched culinary legacy, is the natural next step to ensure the highest quality, best-tasting products.”
The alt-dairy company claims that The New Milk matches conventional cow’s milk in taste and texture and is “rich in nutritional value”.
Wider retail distribution into major supermarket chains is planned for January with additional products in the pipeline.
Remilk, founded in 2020, raised $120m in a Series B round led by New York‑based Hanaco Ventures in 2022.
It is also backed by Tau Capital, an investment firm based in Abu Dhabi that acknowledged the dual partnership product launch in a statement on its website. Tau Capital injected $20m into Remilk last year, according to Bloomberg, citing an interview with Wolff.
Similar innovations to The New Milk have also come out of Israel’s alternative-dairy sector.
Strauss Group unveiled a domestic line of “animal‑free” dairy products last month made in collaboration with another local company Imagindairy, including CowFree Symphony cream cheese and the Yotvata CowFree drink.
Imagindairy, founded in 2020, also produces alternative dairy proteins using precision fermentation.
