Swedish fruit cider brand owner Kopparberg has added a new flavour to its namesake hard seltzer extension.

Kopparberg Hard Seltzer Strawberry joins the existing Mixed Berries and Passion Fruit flavours that were launched last year. Strawberry is a replacement for Black Cherry, which has been discontinued, a Kopparberg spokesperson told Just Drinks.

The new hard seltzer flavour will roll out to UK supermarkets Morrisons and Asda this month. One 25cl can contains 93 calories.

“The subtle flavours that dominate the hard seltzer category can disappoint,” said Kopparberg marketing head Rob Salvesen. “We believe Kopparberg has managed to find the perfect balance of subtle and refreshing with a punchier flavour than other brands on the market.”

In the past two years, Kopparberg has expanded beyond its core ciders, releasing the hard seltzers as well as a flavoured spirits range.
