A Russian entrepreneur is making windscreen-cleaning fluid out of contraband vodka in an ironic reversal of the stereotypical image of the Russian penchant for drinking anti-freeze.


Oleg Udolin’s company extracts ethyl alcohol under licence from bottles of vodka confiscated by police and customs. So far he has converted more than 20 million litres and clients include BP service stations and the police themselves.
