The UK division of Bacardi has dropped Vinnie Jones, the former footballer turned actor, from its advertising campaign.


Jones, who was reported to be earning £250,000 a year from the role, will be replaced by the actor Benicio Del Toro.


Jones has been appearing in the advertising campaign since 2001.
