The wine world – and many spirits producers – will decamp to the German city of Düsseldorf this weekend for the ProWein trade exhibition. In the lead up, we’re running a series of daily previews highlighting what a selection of companies and regional trade bodies will be up to at the three-day show.

  • Among its activities, Accolade Wines (Hall 9/Stand J04) will be revealing new wines under its William Hardy label. You can also expect to see new flavours from its Echo Falls Fruits range, including a new RTD format. The company’s newly-acquired Grant Burge Wines portfolio will also be presented under the Accolade banner for the first time. And winemakers Bruce Jack and Ben Jordaan will be discussing developments for South African brands Kumala, Fish Hoek and Flagstone.
  • Côtes du Rhône Wines (Hall 11/Stand J179) will be running a series of on-stand masterclasses hosted by biologist and oenologist Sebastian Nickel. Four organic producers from the French region will also be exhibiting: Domaine des Escaravailles, Domaine Montirius, Château de Manissy and Château des Coccinelles.
  • Romanian winery Cramele Recas (Hall 15/Stand J65) will be taking its own stand at ProWein for the first time. The company will launch a number of new products at the show, including a premium dessert wine, a late harvest Sauvignon Blanc called Conacul Ambrozy, and a new Pinot Grigio Rosé under the Calusari label, which is the first wine by Recas available in a 187ml format.
