Kirin Beverage Corp. today reported a fall in profits for the year so far, although sales had risen.


For the nine months to September, the group saw sales rise to ¥259.9 billion (US$2.38 billion), compared to ¥241.73 billion for the same period last year. Net profit for the group dropped, however, to ¥6.7 billion against ¥7.7 billion year-on-year. Parent net profit also dropped to ¥6.67 billion compared to ¥7.16 billion.


The company has forecast sales for the year to reach ¥349 billion for the group, and predicts net profit to reach ¥4.1 billion.
