According to reports in India, United Breweries (UB) has decided to increase its stake in the Mumbai-based beer and drinks group, Associated Breweries & Distilleries (ABD) to 100%. The report on India’s Business Line quoted sources with UB.
UB acquired the 65% it already owns in ABD in November 2000. It is expected to pay R150m for the additional 35% stake.
