The French Champagne, hotels and luxury goods group, Taittinger, has reported turnover of €214.8m (US$231.6m) for the fourth quarter of 2002, up 6.4% on the corresponding quarter in 2001.
Turnover for 2002 as a whole rose by 1% to €788.3m (US$845.9m). Champagne sales rose by 3.7% in 2002, the company said. Taittinger sold 4.07m bottles of Champagne in 2001.
The company has also announced that it has changed its name from Taittinger SA to Groupe Taittinger.
