The Champagne producer Laurent-Perrier saw its revenue fall 0.3% in the first quarter. The company blamed the impact of the strong euro and a drop in wholesale deliveries.
Revenue for April-June reached €33.3m, compared to €33.4m in the same period a year earlier.
The company said “the less favorable economic environment in France and exchange rates affecting exports should have an impact on Laurent-Perrier’s business.”
No full year predictions were given but Laurent-Perrier said it was “preparing for the future with carefully selected investments made possible by the excellence of the foundations of the business.”
