Canadian wine firm von Mandl Family Estates (VMF) has agreed a deal to acquire CedarCreek Estate Winery for an undisclosed sum.

The deal, announced late last week, includes CedarCreek’s vineyards in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, and the vineyard holdings of the Fitzpatrick family, the estate’s owners. However the transaction, expected to complete early next month, does not include Greata Ranch vineyard and winery in Peachland, British Columbia, which the Fitzpatrick family will continue to own and operate, the groups said.

Anthony von Mandl, owner of VMF, which already has vineyards in the Okanagan Valley, said: “Our family would like to pay tribute to the exceptional work of CedarCreek Founder, Senator Ross Fitzpatrick, whose vision has not only built one of the most respected estate wineries in British Columbia, but has been instrumental in making the Okanagan wine industry what it is today.”
