The fourth in the line of bottlings comprises a number of 13-to-25-year-old single pot still whiskies that were blended then finished for 15 months in 42 hogsheads sourced from seven oak trees in the wood. An unspecified number of units are available.

Dair Ghaelach is Gaelic for ‘Irish oak’.

Debuting almost seven years ago, the series kicked off with ‘Grinsell’s Wood’, which spent time in casks made from oak grown in County Kilkenny, followed by ‘Bluebell Forest’ in late-2017, also hailing from Kilkenny. Last year’s expression used casks from Knockrath Forest in County Wicklow.

This week has also seen Pernod officially open a whisky distillery in China, the result of a $150m financial outlay.
