Brown-Forman has released a limited-edition expression from its Glenglassaugh single malt Scotch whisky brand.
Glengassaugh 50-year-old spent some of its maturation time in a single ex-Pedro Ximénez Sherry cask at the company’s warehouse in the country’s Speyside whisky region. The expression is available from selected specialist Global Travel Retail outlets as well as off-premise outlets in Australia, Canada, China, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Switzerland, the UK and Ukraine.
The release is limited to 264 units.
“A lot can happen in half a century, and this whisky has seen many important milestones whilst maturing in our warehouse,” said Glenglassaugh’s master blender, Rachel Barrie. “It’s a privilege to unveil this premium bottling to whisky fans around the world at the beginning of a new chapter for Glenglassaugh celebrating both old and new.”
Brown-Forman took control of the whisky brand through its 2016 acquisition of The BenRiach Distillery Co.
