Blog: Chris Brook-CarterNew 'local' player in Baltic vodka distribution

Chris Brook-Carter | 14 December 2004

Has anyone tried Belarussian vodka before? Because it sounds like it must be good stuff.

Lithuanian police have discovered a vodka pipeline coming from neighbouring Belarus. The 3km-long hose was laid under roads and the state border. The Lithuanian end of the hose was found in the backyard of a private house in the border town of Eisiskes.

Police are looking into it. I’d keep my thumb over the top if I were them, otherwise they might get some in their eye.
