Wonderful Co, the owner of Fiji Water, has been quick to capitalise on overnight stardom for a woman hired to serve its bottled water at The Golden Globes awards.

Model and Fiji Water brand ambassador Kelleth Cuthbert was highlighted on social media by thousands of viewers who noticed her standing behind actors attending last night's entertainment awards ceremony in Los Angeles. In all of the pictures, Cuthbert is holding a tray of Fiji Water.

Cuthbert is seen smiling into the camera in pictures of Nicole Kidman, Jim Carrey and Idris Elba among others. Some Twitter users called for her to be given an award for best supporting role.

The social media account for Fiji Water jumped on the attention, writing on Twitter: "We're so glad everyone is talking about our water! *senses ominous presence* She's right behind us, isn't she?"

The account also retweeted many of the news articles on the "Fiji Water Girl", who was soon honoured with her own Twitter parody account.

Fiji Water is the official water sponsor of The Golden Globes.
