The resurgence in Australian wine sales to the UK continues, according to the nation's Wine and Brandy Corporation.

In the year to the end of January, 2005 an additional 50m litres was shipped compared with the previous year bringing the total to 259m litres.

Red still wines dominated sales.

Total exports continued double-digit growth in volume and value.

Volume grew 12% to 649m litres, while value was up 14% to A$2.76 billion (US$2.17 billion).

The recent decline in average price per litre overall eased slightly, down 5.5% to A$4.26 a litre.
