Romanian wine exports are expected to rise by 10% this year and wine consumption is expected to reach 20 litres per capita, compared to 18.5 litres in 2000. According to a local press report a total of 540m litres of wine was produced last year and Romania generated approximately US$17.7m from wine in 2000.
