Norwegian wine and spirits group Arcus has appointed a new president and CEO.

Jan Tore Føsund was named yesterday (22 June) as the head of Norway's leading wine and spirits group, whose brands include Vikingfjord vodka Linie aquavit. He joins from Norway's largest wholesaler and distributor of pharmaceutical and health care products, NMD Grossisthandel.

Arcus chairman Kaare Frydenberg said: "Jan Tore Føsund has the experience and qualities to lead Arcus in its future development. His broad experience from a number of leading positions within one of Norway's major wholesale businesses is just what is needed for Arcus to further strengthen its well-known brands and achieve additional international growth."
