The Russian soft drinks and dairy group, Wimm-Bill-Dann, posted net profit for the first nine months of 2002 of $32.5m, up 2.8% from $31.6m last year.

Profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 11% from $65.2m to $72.4m. Sales for the nine-month period increased by 20% from $492.5m to $592.4m.
