Kerry Christie replaces Rosemary McGinness, who left the role in 2017. Since McGinness' departure, the position's responsibilities have been filled by interim group HR director Gary Brewer, who will remain as HR director of William Grant's branded business unit & global reward.

Commenting on Christie's appointment, William Grant CEO Simon Hunt said she has "valuable expertise". Christie was previously CPO at Standard Life Aberdeen.

Hunt continued: "Kerry will play a vital role in achieving our aim to create an inclusive culture at WG&S where passionate characters can grow and develop their careers."

Elsewhere in beverages, The Coca-Cola Co last week also appointed a new chief people officer. Lisa Chang will assume the role on March 1.
