William Grant & Sons' New York State-based Hudson Whiskey has offered 60 of its casks on direct sale to allow bars, restaurants and retailers to bottle their own spirit.

William Grant bought Hudson owner Tuthilltown Spirits in April
Forty casks of Hudson Four Grain Bourbon and 20 casks of Hudson Single Malt have been made available in what Hudson said is its first private-barrel programme. The casks will sell for the same price as the equivalent number of bottles at the standard bulk discount, a spokesperson for Hudson told just-drinks.
The offer celebrates the takeover of Hudson parent company Tuthilltown Spirits by Glenfiddich owner William Grant, which bought Tuthilltown in April, seven years after its purchase of the Hudson whiskey brand. The acquisition expanded William Grant's reach into craft American whiskey distilling for the first time.
William Grant has also increased its investment in Irish whiskey, this month opening a new grain distillery and bottling plant at its greenfield Tullamore Dew distillery. Hudson and Tullamore are the only distilleries William Grant owns outside of Scotland.
