The distribution agreement will see the Nicaraguan brand sit alongside Whyte & Mackay brands such as The Dalmore and Jura single malt whiskies, the company said today. Amathus Wines previously distributed Flor de Caña in the UK & Ireland, a Whyte & Mackay spokesperson told just-drinks.

Whyte & Mackay will handle six of the rum variants: Flor de Caña 4 Extra-Seco, 5 Añejo Clasico, 7 Gran Reserva and Centenario 12, 18 and 25 collection.

Last year, Compañía Licorera de Nicaragua, ended a seven-year relationship with Gruppo Campari to hand US distribution for its portfolio to William Grant & Sons.
