Whyte & Mackay said the collection is Investment Grade Scotch

Whyte & Mackay has extended the launch of The Dalmore Constellation Collection to the US.

The US$250,000 collection of 21 rare whiskies was released to the US public on Monday (8 October), Whyte & Mackay said yesterday. One set was released in Travel Retail in the UK in May and another, which was recently sold, to the Whisky Shop in London, a company spokesperson told just-drinks.

Whyte & Mackay plans to release nine collections in cities including London, Paris and Hong Kong, with a collection available in Moscow by the end of November, the spokesperson said.

Dalmore rare whisky director David Robertson said: "These rare bottles of whisky, often referred to as 'Investment Grade Scotch', are rapidly becoming a hot commodity in the alternative investment market, and outperforming luxury goods such as gold and diamonds.”

Each expression is packaged in a crystal decanter engraved with a solid silver stag.

In May, Whyte & Mackay announced it was launching a rebrand for its Dalmore whisky range.
