Vivas, the UK joint venture wine company formed by 3663 First for Foodservice and Bibendum Wine, has appointed James Salmon as its general manager.

Salmon joins Vivas after 13 years at Wells and Young's Brewing Company, where he held various senior positions including Corona Extra brand controller and, most recently, head of sales operations.

"James comes to Vivas with tremendous industry knowledge and a clear appreciation of our target market," Bibendum managing director Michael Saunders said today (10 June).

Saunders added: "Both 3663 and Bibendum have great belief that Vivas will really power ahead over the next few years. In the current economic climate our offering adds value to businesses who are looking to reduce costs by consolidating their food and drink orders."
