Viña San Pedro has readied the US roll-out of a new range of "multi-origin" wines. 9 Lives Reserve comprises a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Sauvignon Blanc from Chile, as well as a Malbec from Argentina.

The brand name pays homage to an "intriguing black cat that shadows Viña San Pedro's vineyards".

The range will be imported and distributed in the country by Shaw-Ross. It is the first wine brand to be introduced in the US through mobile wine app Vivino.

"Over the last several years, a cultural shift has occurred in the world," said  Viña San Pedro's marketing manager, Paulo Ramires. "We looked at how Millennials consume and share information."

"We wanted to explore how we could make the opinion of our wine drinker our first priority as we work to serve them."

Viña San Pedro is part of VSPT Wine Group, Chile's second-largest wine export company, behind Concha y Toro.
