English sparkling wine producer Rathfinny Wine Estate has signed a distribution agreement in Hong Kong.

The Sussex-based company said today that Jebsen Fine Wines has been appointed exclusive distributor in the market. Jebsen will roll out a Blanc de Blancs 2014 and Rosé Brut 2015 in September.

Rathfinny was established in 2010 by Sarah and Mark Driver. The company's first sparkling wines were launched in the UK last month.

Rathfinny has also outlined plans to sell "up to 50%" of its production overseas, in Asia, Europe and North America.

Sarah Driver said of the Hong Kong deal: "Aside from its potential as a growth area for sparkling wine, it's a country we feel very connected to. Having been brought up there myself, we have a strong network of friends and family based in Hong Kong, and we believe that with a bit of hard work, we can create a loyal following for Rathfinny over there."
