Tussock Jumper, which has a portfolio of international wines under its namesake brand, will be an official partner of the New York Mets through to 2020, it said today. Under the terms of the deal, the Mets will serve Tussock Jumper wines during games, and roll out a carafe programme that will allow guests to decant a bottle at their seats.

"It's our hope that ballpark guests will have fun exploring new wines, and tasting new winemaking regions," said John Oliveira, co-founder of Tussock Jumper Wines. "Americans are growing in their appreciation for wine, and it's our goal with Tussock Jumper to make the discovery process easier."

Tussock Jumper is imported to the US by Tri-Vin Imports, which is owned by Oliveira. The Tussock Jumper portfolio comprises more than 24 wines from 11 winemaking regions.

Wine companies seldom partner with baseball teams, however for the past three years Casella Family Brands' Yellow Tail has advertised during the NFL Super Bowl.
