The Swedish brewing group, Spendrups Bryggeri AB, has posted turnover of Kr2.429m for 2001, against Kr2.372m in 2000.

Operating profit fell dramatically from Kr91m in 2000 to Kr25m in 2001, with Spendrups attributing the decline principally to start-up costs associated with new products. The company stated that it had increased its share of the beer market during 2001 by 3% to 25%.
