Tsingtao has integrated its production operations in northern China, according to local press reports. Xinhua's China Economic Information Service said yesterday (8 September) that the Qingdao-based brewer has set up Tsingtao Brewery Xi'an Hans Group, following the integration of its nine production bases in the north and north-west of the country.

The new group will make Tsingtao's second flagship beer, Hans, and will have annual production capacity of 1.1m kilolitres.

As well as the nine production facilities, Tsingtao has a sales network for its brands in 11 Chinese provinces, the news service noted, with the Hans brand having leading market share in the north-western China beer market.
