Treasury's Wolf Blass will sponsor two international cricket tournaments in the next two years

Treasury Wine Estates has announced a return to cricket for Wolf Blass, with the Australian brand set to sponsor two international cricket tournaments in the coming years.

The group confirmed earlier today that Wolf Blass will have 'Official Wine Partner' status at the Cricket World Cup in the UK next year and the World T20 in 2020 in Australia. Financial details behind the three-year tie-up with the International Cricket Council were not disclosed.

The move comes five years after the brand co-sponsored television coverage in the UK of two Ashes series - played every two years between England and Australia. Wolf Blass also partnered with the ICC for the Champions Trophy in the UK last year.

Treasury's deputy CMO, Angus Lilley, said: "Wolf Blass has a fantastic history aligning to sport, including the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, and we're looking forward to aligning again with one of the biggest events on the sporting calendar."

The sponsorship deal kicks off in the UK in July, with limited-edition cricket labels, on-pack promotions for match tickets as well as gondola-end promotions and social media activity.

Treasury's wine rival, Accolade Wines, also has links with cricket: Its Australian brand, Hardys, has been the 'Official Wine of England Cricket' since 2014.
