TWE has found an internal candidate to be its new Beringer MD

Treasury Wine Estates has appointed an internal candidate to fill the role of managing director for its Beringer unit.

John Grant, previously Beringer global brand director, replaces Stephen Brauer, who quit the company last month. The appointment is effective immediately, TWE said today (16 August).

Prior to his time at TWE, Grant was president of Constellation Wines Australia, and held a variety of senior roles at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates and Lion Nathan

Treasury Wine Estates CEO, David Dearie, said: “Going forward, I have no doubt that John’s proven leadership experience, strong commercial acumen and creative drive will help deliver new growth opportunities for Beringer both in its home market of the Americas as well as globally."

Last month, TWE appointed a new chairman and struck a bottling deal with rival Accolade Wines
