Poland's Treasury is planning to call a privatisation tender for the distiller Polmos Bialystock in late August, the local press reported today.
The report said that the ministry is seeking to sell off 80% of the company, which produces around 20m litres of spirits a year, including the Zubrowka and Absolwent vodka brands.
It is unclear yet whether the ministry intends to float the company on the stock exchange, sell off shares to a private investor or mix the two options.
The report says the Ministry hopes to raise around US$139m to US$166.9m.
