The Polish Treasury has called off the sale of Polmos Zielona Gora, one of the country's leading vodka producers, because the price offered by the bidders was insufficient, the local press said today. Interfax, the Polish news service, reported that Treasury Officer Teresa Zalewska had said that the price offered by a consortium of the German drinks producer Eckes and Sweden's Vin & Sprit was dissatisfying.
