Heineken, Interbrew, Carlsberg and Pivovarna Lasko head a list of bidders seeking to acquire a majority stake in Bosnia's biggest brewer Banjalucka Pivara, according to its general manager.

Speaking in an interview with Reuters, Predrag Radic also said that SABMiller Plc and Anheuser-Busch have both expressed an interest, as have two Austrian brewers and an individual representing a group of investors.

The stake was put up for sale last month and the tender lasts until 10th March.

No price has been put on the acquisition. However, the government has previously put a 43 million Bosnian marka (US$28.3m) price tag on it.
