The Walled Garden Trading Co, based out of Gordon Castle in north-east Scotland, is to launch its first major product from its new luxury food and drink range.

The company said today (18 June) that Gordon Castle Gin uses botanicals from the walled garden at Gordon Castle. Walled Garden owner Angus Gordon Lennox told just-drinks that the new gin stands out because of its mint-fresh flavour and unique provenance.

He said the spirit has been distilled and bottled in partnership with Thames Distillers.

Last week, London hotel The Dorchester launched its own-brand Old Tom gin specially created for cocktails in the hotel's bar.
