Chivas Brothers has clinched a sponsorship deal for the Atlantic Rowing Race for its Scotch whisky brand The Glenlivet.

The Glenlivet will sponsor Great Britain's double Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell and his team mate Ben Fogle in the race, which begins on 27 November and takes around 15 days.
 
Brand director for The Glenlivet, Neil MacDonald, said: "We're delighted to be sponsoring James and Ben in this exciting and challenging Atlantic race. The sponsorship fits the brand positioning for The Glenlivet perfectly by reinforcing certain personality aspects central to the brand such as determination, endeavour and spirit."
 
The Glenlivet, one of Pernod Ricard's "core brands" is the world's second-largest single malt and the best-selling in the US.
