Women remain an untapped but potential market for the ale category in the UK, according to research by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). In a questionnaire conducted by CAMRA only 23% of women said they had even tried real ale in a pub and over a fifth said they were turned off because the drink was not promoted to them.
