SUN Interbrew is looking to invest heavily in expansion next year, according to press reports. Vedomosti said earlier today (27 September) that the Russian brewer plans to invest €100m in expanding in Russia, and €40m in Ukrainian expansion in 2005.

The paper quoted SUN Interbrew's chief executive, Joe Strella, as saying the company plans to buy a brewery "to the east of Omsk city".

Failing an acquisition, the company plans to build a brewery in Russia's east where it plans to boost production capacity in order to raise market share, the newspaper said.
