C&C Group is planning to increase production capacity on the back of increased demand for its cider brands. The Irish company said yesterday (4 October) that it will bring its expansion plans for its facility in Clonmel forward by a year.

C&C said that sales of Bulmers in Ireland and Magners in the UK were up by around 10% for the year to February this year.

Magners, which has been rolled-out in the London area only so far, will launch in the Midlands next.

The production expansion will now be introduced next year, the company said.
