Stone Brewing has released a mocha stout, brewed with cacao from Belize. The beer, described as being reminiscent of Mexican hot chocolate, contains cinnamon, nutmeg, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, milk sugar and a mild punch of pasilla peppers.

The beer also contains German Perle and English East Kent Golding hops.

The company said the beer can be aged for months "or even years", allowing the "malt character to evolve, making the cocoa and coffee flavours more prevalent".

The beer was first brewed in 2014 with San Diego homebrewer Chris Banker, after his recipe won Stone's annual homebrew competition.

Earlier this year, Stone swapped distributors in the UK market, from BrewDog to James Clay.
