Stock Spirits, the branded spirits producer in Central Europe, has appointed ex-Diageo director Jack Keenan as its non-executive chairman.

Keenan was CEO for wine and spirits at Grand Metropolitan in the 1990s and subsequently helped to merge the business with Guinness to create Diageo, said Stock Spirits, announcing its appointment today (21 October)

He has also founded Grand Cru Consulting, specialising in M&A advice for wine and spirits firms, and has been CEO of General Foods International, which later became Kraft.

Keenan said: "It is exciting to be involved in Stock Spirits Group, a dynamic new player in the international spirits market. I look forward to working with Neil Everitt [CEO] and his team to capitalise on our strengths and bolster the group's position as a major force in the global drinks industry."
