Spendrups Bryggeri has registered an increase in pre-tax profit for the first nine months of this year. The Swedish brewery and soft drinks producer also revealed plans to install a new PET bottling line at its brewery.

Spendrups said yesterday that pre-tax period for the year to the end of September was up to SEK87m (US$11m) from SEK70m in the corresponding period a year earlier. Net turnover was also up, to SEK2.099bn from SEK1.952bn. The company's domestic sales were up in volume terms by 5% to 200m litres.

Separately, Spendrups unveiled plans to invest SEK86m on the PET bottling line at its Grangesberg brewery in the west of the country. The line is scheduled to be installed sometime next year, the company added.
