The Canadian brewer Sleeman is in discussions with three companies about making a possible acquisition.

Speaking on a conference call after announcing its 2004 results, chairman and CEO John Sleeman said: "We're always looking at potential acquisitions. We're looking at two acquisitions in Canada and the potential for one in the United States."

Sleeman would not divulge any further details.
