Todd's The Wine Company, the wines and spirits division of the regional brewer Shepherd Neame, has launched a new exclusive label New Zealand wine under the brand name Runnymede Island.

The Runnymede Island range comprises a 2005 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and a 2004 Marlborough Pinot Noir. Both wines are produced by the New Zealand wine company Jackson Estate.

"We're extremely excited about the launch of these two great wines as they're the culmination of a joint idea with Jackson's John Stichbury and a great deal of hard work between our two independent family businesses," said Shepherd Neame's wines and spirits manager Michael Prior yesterday (2 February).

The Todd's wine range is marketed through Shepherd Neame's own pub estate and selected independent bars and pubs. The Runnymede Island wines will have a trade price of GBP75 per case and are expected to retail in the on-premise sector at around GBP15 a bottle.
