Molson Coors-owned Sharp’s Brewery is re-launching its seasonal brand Red Ale in the UK.

The 4.1% abv brew is being released in on-trade outlets across the south of England from today until 17 November, while stocks last. It is the third consecutive year that the beer has been released for autumn.

Red Ale includes three unnamed US hop varieties, giving it “fruity top notes”, the Cornwall-based brewer said.

Stuart Howe, Sharp's brewing director, said: "Red Ale has proven extremely popular with consumers when we’ve launched it previously, so we’re excited to be bringing it back again for the third year.”

Red Ale is the fourth in a series of limited release beers this year in celebration of Sharp’s 20thanniversary.

Molson Coors acquired the Doom Bar brewer in 2011 for GBP20m (US$32.4m).
