Sapporo expects to see shipments of its Yebisu brand reach an all-time high. The brewer said yesterday that it expects to sell over 10m cases of its premium brand beer in 2003, the first time it has exceeded the figure.

The final shipment date of Yebisu is today (Tuesday) and the brewer estimates total volume for the year to hit 10.01m cases, an increase of 16.7% on 2002.

The Yebisu brand comprises of Yebisu and Yebisu Black. Although Yebisu shipments are set to drop by 0.4% on last year, Yebisu Black was only launched in May of this year.
