SABMiller has bought the remaining shares in Central American subsidiary BevCo.

The UK-based brewer said today (21 November) that it had bought the remaining 41.8% minority interest in the company from its existing shareholders.

BevCO has net assets of around US$298m, the company said.

BevCo is the leading brewer and soft drinks bottler in Honduras and El Salvador whose key owned and licenced brands include Pilsener, Bahia, Golden Light, Regia Extra, Miller Genuine Draft, Port Royal, Imperial, Salvavida and Coca Cola.

Last year, the company reported turnover of US$521m and EBITDA of US$129m.
